Course Highlights
- Learn a systematic 6-step approach to problem-solving and decision-making by identifying the problem, gathering and analysing information, evaluating evidence, developing a reasoned conclusion, communicating and defending your conclusion, and reflecting on the process for improvement.
- Identify common errors in logic such as contradictions and explore common logical fallacies such as red herring (changing the subject to distract from the real issue) and more when evaluating options.
- Understand how personal (egocentric) and group (sociocentric) biases can limit critical thinking and mitigate these biases with proven strategies for self-awareness, self-reflection, open-mindedness, and perspective-taking.
- Learn how to develop and ask probing questions (clarification, elaboration, justification, reflective) to attain clarity and gain a deeper understanding of any subject matter.
- Master techniques for assessing information accuracy by doing cross-verification, source reliability or evidence checking and ensure they are accurate using techniques such as connection to topic, applicability to context, and usefulness for goals.
- Evaluate the relevance and importance of ideas generated by various stakeholders, considering factors like whether they align with the final objective, whether they would bring about positive or negative impact, and whether there would be any risks involved.

Candidates who complete each module with at least 75% attendance and demonstrate competency during assessment will receive a Certificate of Completion by FirstCom Academy and a WSQ Statement of Attainment.
Entry Requirements:
- Aged 18 and above
- Have basic computer literacy Level 2
- Have minimum GCE “N”, “O” or “A” Level / NITEC or a diploma qualification and minimum 2 years of working experience;
- Have a basic understanding of the camera functions of the mobile phone and
- Have an English language proficiency equivalent of higher of any of the following – GCSE N/O Levels pass in English / WPLN Level 5 / IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL (internet based total) 46-59.
