Betsy is a passionate advocate for holistic education with 5 years of experience as a curriculum planner at the Ministry of Education in Singapore. After transitioning to a mainstream secondary school, she implemented the Year Head system and led during COVID-19, earning her widespread recognition with both MOE and school awards acknowledging her resilience and effectiveness in leading teachers and students alike.
Betsy’s pursuit of academic excellence is evident through her diverse array of qualifications, including a Master in Education in 2006, Graduate Diplomas in Positive Psychology and Counselling in 2019, and SUSS Certificates in Early Childhood and Teaching in 2021. Her commitment to continuous improvement led her to complete Executive Coaching (IECL) and Advanced Certificate Learning and Approaches (ACLP) in 2023, further enhancing her skills and competencies in education and training.
Apart from being a trainer at FirstCom Academy, Betsy is an Associate Lecturer with the National Institute of Education (International) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (Institute of Adult Learning) and a Training Provider Quality Assessor for SkillsFuture Singapore. Betsy remains steadfast in her commitment to driving excellence and innovation in education.
