Jim is a strong believer in lifelong learning, innovation and adapting with the times. As he was running his digital agency, FirstCom Solutions — Jim noticed that many local businesses were facing a digital tech skills and knowledge gap that resulted in them being unable to digitalise their businesses effectively even with the help of go-digital agencies.
With the establishment of FirstCom Academy in 2017, Jim envisions to equip all Singaporeans as well as employees of local businesses with essential and in-demand digital tech skills to close up the skills and knowledge gap, which will propel Singapore’s economy and employment market toward a better future.
Founder & CFO, Michelle Lim
Founder and CFO of FirstCom Academy, Michelle keeps the academy’s financial objectives and budget in check. She is responsible for developing the academy’s financial policies and overseeing its internal operations, including business continuity planning.
As CFO, Michelle also oversees the allocation of resources to ensure that FirstCom Academy’s training programs maintain a high standard of quality, learner education and engagement. She provides the necessary support for trainers to help them deliver effective and engaging training programs that meets the needs of learners.
