As we all know: there’s nothing quite like a day at the movies to bring people together. With Joker: Folie à Deux hitting cinemas this month, FirstCom Academy threw together two exclusive screenings of the hit movie to show appreciation to our beloved alumni – as well as their friends and family – on the 13th of October.
We wanted everyone at the screening to have the best experience they could get, so after registering, guests were treated to a complimentary popcorn and Coke combo, and even a sumptuous buffet while they waited for the show to start at the Shaw Lido atrium. Some of our guests even got the celebrity red-carpet treatment by getting their photos taken at the huge Joker: Folie à Deux backdrop by our event photographers!
This Movie Day was a celebration of the progress and achievements made by our learners through the power of upskilling, so as the participants tucked into their meals, they feasted their eyes on the elaborate Upskilling 100 displays showcasing the achievements that our learners had achieved after upskilling at FirstCom Academy.
To encourage guests to look to the future they could pave for themselves with lifelong learning, we also set up displays and banners that gave insights into how learning new skills and staying relevant in the working world could transform their careers, and potentially their lives as well.
Our Education Consultants were also present to answer questions about upskilling, and to give advice on the best FirstCom Academy courses each participant could take based on their career needs.
