Introduction
We are ecstatic to announce the grand opening of our fourth training centre at Central Plaza, Tiong Bahru, on September 19th 2024!
Our founder and CEO, Jim Giam, accompanied by co-founder and CFO Michelle Lim arrived at the brand-new centre to unveil its signboard in a joyous ceremony that was filled with fanfare, and also to celebrate how far we’ve come as a training academy.
To mark this landmark occasion, let us take you through some of our new training centre’s features:
Location, Location, Location
FirstCom Academy has four training centres in prime locations across the island. The reason? We’re committed to ensuring that all FirstCom Academy learners have easy access to the training they need; that includes guaranteeing they won’t have to travel far to get to class.
As our Paya Lebar, Woodlands, and Chinatown centres have covered the East, North, and Central regions of Singapore. The new centre now covers the Central-West region, making quality training available to even more learners in Singapore.
That’s not all: as this centre is located in Central Plaza, learners will only need to make a short two-minute walk from Tiong Bahru MRT. The route to the centre is also completely sheltered!
A Limitless Learning Space
Each of our training centres is uniquely-themed to reflect different aspects of our vision for lifelong learning, and our Central Plaza centre’s visual theme is — quite literally — out of this world.
Decked in neon signages in FirstCom Academy’s primary colours, minimalistic white furniture, and metallic-hued accents, any visitor would have the feeling of stepping into a space station. This design choice isn’t just for show: we want our learners to be trained in an environment that reflects the infinite possibilities that lie in wait through their upskilling journey.
Further complementing the space theme are the centre’s six spacious classrooms — each of which can accommodate up to 30 learners — that are individually named after different planets in the solar system: Earth, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Neptune.
Our training courses are built to equip learners with knowledge for the future and beyond, and our centre facilitates this with free-of-charge laptop rentals, and full high-speed WiFi access.
